Mar 18/19 - We finished first in the In-State division on our home turf at The 3rd Annual Arizona Dragon Boat Festival.

Thanks to Chien, with a winter set of training that was truly inspired, we clocked times of 2:43, 2:46 and 2:36 to win by a margin of 17 seconds! Bring it on Las Vegas!

2005

October 15 - Laughlin is the final race of the season

August 29 – We're hooking up with the LA Thunder Dragons and are off to the 10th Annual Northern California International Dragon Boat Championships and Festival in San Francisco.

July 31 – A return visit to the Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival in Long Beach, CA ended up with us finishing 11th in Division II.

March 22 – It's the  2nd Annual Arizona Dragon Boat Festival, and we were honored to host the City of Taipei team who were visiting the States for this race.

2004

September 25 – We attended the 9th Annual Northern California International Dragon Boat Championships and Festival in San Francisco and came third in the Rec division!

July 31 – We paddled at the Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival , Long Beach, CA

June 28 – The ‘Dragons very own Debbie Nastro has just returned from a three week tour of Asia with the San Francisco Dragon Warriors. The highlights were three Dragon Boat festivals and this appearance in the local newspaper! Translations appreciated...

April 10 – We paddled at the Laughlin Dragon Boat Festival at Davis Camp on the Colorado River, NV.

March 22 – We took part in the  Inaugural Arizona Dragon Boat Festival! A great day for Dragon Boating racing in Arizona as it was a huge success and the Gilas came first in their division

2003

August - Off again, to the 50th state of Hawaii for the AT&T Hawaii Dragon Boat Festival.

June - a break from the old routine as a group of us entered our very own cardboard dragon boat, lovingly designed by the Gila's Peter Hoffman, for entry to the 4th Annual Rotary River Rally in Tempe.

May - The first Gilas trip to the sushi filled town of Laughlin for the Laughlin Dragon Boat Festival.
